Heather Kerzner has lowered the asking price of her Greenwich Lane penthouse to $19.99 million.
Heather Kerzner, the American ex-wife of South African billionaire hotel honcho Sol Kerzner, has lowered the price of her Greenwich Lane duplex penthouse. The spread is now available for $19.99 million.
News of the Greenwich Village listing was first reported in the British press last month, when Kerzner was asking $22.5 million for the unit.
She bought the unit for $18.86 million in 2016, city records show.
Kerzner had planned to marry a British public relations mogul, James Henderson, in November — with royals and rock stars slated to attend. But the marriage has been “postponed,” with no new date set, since Henderson, former CEO of public relations firm Bell Pottinger, was exposed for allegedly inciting racial hatred in South Africa — a scandal that has collapsed the company, according to British press reports. Kerzner had reportedly invested a large part of her fortune in the company.
Kerzner’s West 12th Street penthouse is a four-bedroom spread that measures 4,317 square feet, with 1,174 square feet of outdoor space across a balcony and two terraces. It features beamed 10-foot ceilings, casement windows, and a media room with a fireplace and a wet bar. There are also red oak hardwood floors, a living room that overlooks a central garden, and a chef’s kitchen that leads to one of the home’s terraces.
Building amenities include a gym with yoga and treatment rooms, a pool with a hot tub, a residents’ lounge, a dining room with a guest chef’s kitchen, a screening room and a children’s playroom.
Greenwich Lane residents include fashion designer Michael Kors, former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz and Jimmy Choo co-founder Tamara Mellon.
