THE LOCKSMITH COMETH

Hopes of a broadway career ended at a mere 13 years old when a theater director told me "Nedelle, theater is a triple-threat business." What he really meant was "Girl, you can't dance." Anyhow, I had already been playing violin for 6 years at that point and loved it just as much as musical theater, so I continued studying for many years until, at age 21 or so, muscular problems (they call it fibromyalgia) prevented me from practicing the necessary amount to be any good. Now I play for fun and on my albums.
All this time, I should mention, I had been writing songs. I started my first band called "P.B.E." or "Pretty Brown Eyes" when I was 11 - it was an R&B duo modeled after En Vogue, only much worse. Accompanied by a casio keyboard, we sang songs about finding the perfect men, getting the respect we deserved from said men, walking out on them and being walked out on. I guess nothing has changed!

Here are the cds I've released to date:

* Republic of Two - Kimchee Records February, 2003
* Summerland (collaboration with Thom Moore called "Nedelle and Thom") - Kill Rock Stars August, 2004
* From The Lion's Mouth - Kill Rock Stars February, 2005
* The Locksmith Cometh - Tangram 7s June, 2007
* Dig That Treasure (my new band Cryptacize) - Asthmatic Kitty Records February, 2008
